Caroline “We drove 25 hours from Denver to Philly (with a few hours of sleeps) and it was extremely uneventful. So I’ll leave you with this quote!
Caroline “I urge you to travel. As far and as much as possible. Work ridiculous shifts to earn your money. Go without the latest iPhone. Throw yourself out of your comfort zone. Find out how other people live and realize that the world is a much bigger place than the town you live in. And when you come home, home may still be the same. And yes, you may go back to the same old job, but something in your mind will have shifted. And trust me, that changes everything.”
Caroline “I’ve had a screenshot of this quote in my phone for the past few years and always wanted to live it.”
Caroline “So we went as far west as we could, funded by over 1,000 dog walks in the past year. I had a lousy iPhone 6 that has been dropped in pools and toilets, with dirt, salt, and sand now permanently filling all the crevices of it. And a outdated road map for when the phone failed. A bunch of new car parts and ~10,000 miles later, we came back to the same Philly we left a month ago. My little brain is filled with all the moments I sat silently, taking everything in and enjoying the freedom. Anyway, now it’s time to cue the mutual separation anxiety since Thurston and I have been together 25 hours a day for the past month and now I have to start a real adult job.”
Caroline “Thanks for following along with our adventures! My hope is that this encourages you to take any steps towards enjoying life more with your dog! As incredible as this trip across the country was, it also made me appreciate the time Thurston and I had in central PA – filled with hiking and kayaking and biking. Take advantage of those areas and bring your dog along!”
