June 11-12: South Dakota
After driving for two days, Thurston and Caroline arrived at their first stop: South Dakota:
“Our first stop was the Badlands area of South Dakota. We drove to a remote area where Thurston was able to run alongside my bike and explore the area. This has proven to be the best way to tire him out, enough that he slept through the 30-mph winds that almost turned our tent into a kite in the middle of the night.”
