Van Wagner is a true Renaissance man—an educator, forester, and musician whose work bridges the worlds of nature and history. In the classroom, he teaches Agriculture Science at Danville Area High School, earning honors like Conservation Educator of the Year and the Sandy Cochran Award for his dedication to natural resource education. Outside the classroom, his music and storytelling bring Pennsylvania’s heritage to life, earning him accolades such as the 2018 Outstanding Achievement Award from the Pennsylvania Heritage Songwriting Contest. With 33 albums and a book, Coal Dust, Rust, and Saw Dust, his work has been featured on platforms like the History Channel and CMT, inspiring others to connect with the land and its stories.
