DESCRIPTION:Want to make a difference in the lives of Lycoming County’s homeless pets? Become a volunteer! Volunteers are always in high demand and provide enormous benefits to the pets. \nTo encourage new volunteers\, a Volunteer Shadowing program has begun. The program runs Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m (other days can be set up upon request). You will have the chance to shadow a volunteer with cats\, dogs\, or small animals (guinea pigs\, etc) for an hour or more. This is a wonderful opportunity to see how awesome it is to volunteer your time and a great way to meet fantastic volunteers and some amazing animals. DESCRIPTION:Our popular calendar photo contest is underway for 2019!  First Responder/Emergency Services professionals serving Lycoming County are again invited to participate in the calendar contest. \nDownload and Print the 2019 Entry Form\nDownload and Print the 2019 First Responder Rules & Entry Form \nHighlights include: \n\nEntries will be accepted January 1\, 2018\, through Monday\, August 1\, 2018\, at 2:00 p.m.\nAll photos will be included in the calendar.\nThe 12 photos raising the most money will be featured with their own month.\nANY domestic pet is invited to participate.\nThe top 12 fundraisers will be invited to a professional photo shoot.\nPeople with pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge may submit a photo to the contest.\nMultiple pets are allowed in one photo.\nNo people may appear in the photos (except if you are a First Responder\, in which case\, humans must appear in the photo).\nAll photos become the property of the SPCA and will not be returned.\n$10.00 entry fee for each photo submitted.  The entry fee is waived for First Responders.\n\nLast year’s calendar contest had a total of forty entries\, raising $3\,640.  The project also raises money from corporate sponsors\, as well as donations from community service groups\, whose generosity are all recognized in the calendar. Funds raised go directly towards animal care at the shelter\, which served 2\,492 animals in 2017. \nHow do I submit an entry? \n\n2019 Calendar Contest entries will be accepted now through August 1\, 2018.\nDownload and print the 2019 Entry Form.  First Responders\, please use this form: 2019 First Responder Rules & Entry Form.\nSubmit your favorite 4×6 (horizontal) photo along with the Entry Form and a $10.00 entry fee for each photo submitted.\nEntries may be mailed or dropped off at the Lycoming County SPCA at 2805 Reach Road\, Williamsport\, or dropped off in the secure ballot box at the calendar contest display in the Center Court of the Lycoming Mall.\n\nWhere can I purchase a 2018 calendar? \n2018 calendars are available at the SPCA\, the SPCA Store at the Lycoming Mall (open the 3rd weekend of each month for special Offsite Adoption Weekends)\, or at participating veterinary offices and stores including Fresh Life\, Gustonian Gifts\, and Avu Goldsmiths. All donations from calendar purchases go directly towards the shelter’s mission to protect all domestic animals across Lycoming County by providing shelter\, emergency treatment\, investigation and prosecution of cruelty or abuse complaints\, foster care\, adoption\, and counseling.

Held at White Deer Golf Complex\, Putts Fore Paws consists of a 4-person scramble. There will be three divisions: Men\, Women and Mixed Foursomes. (The number of places paid depends on the number of participants). $75.00 per player covers all required fees and includes morning coffee\, goodies\, and a luncheon. DESCRIPTION:Our popular calendar photo contest is underway for 2019!  First Responder/Emergency Services professionals serving Lycoming County are again invited to participate in the calendar contest. \n*Now through May 30th\, your calendar contest entry will be placed in a sweepstake to receive an OGIO bag\, valued at $90.00 and $138.00. More details here.*  \nDownload and Print the 2019 Entry Form\nDownload and Print the 2019 First Responder Rules & Entry Form \nHighlights include: \n\nEntries will be accepted January 1\, 2018\, through Monday\, August 1\, 2018\, at 2:00 p.m.\nAll photos will be included in the calendar.\nThe 12 photos raising the most money will be featured with their own month.\nANY domestic pet is invited to participate.\nThe top 12 fundraisers will be invited to a professional photo shoot.\nPeople with pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge may submit a photo to the contest.\nMultiple pets are allowed in one photo.\nNo people may appear in the photos (except if you are a First Responder\, in which case\, humans must appear in the photo).\nAll photos become the property of the SPCA and will not be returned.\n$10.00 entry fee for each photo submitted.  The entry fee is waived for First Responders.\n\nLast year’s calendar contest had a total of forty entries\, raising $3\,640.  The project also raises money from corporate sponsors\, as well as donations from community service groups\, whose generosity are all recognized in the calendar. DESCRIPTION:*UPDATE*  This event has been postponed due to conditions on the golf course.  We will inform you of the new date as soon as it is decided. \n— \nEnjoy golf? Love animals? Putts Fore Paws may be just the event for you. \nEnjoying its 2nd year\, Putts Fore Paws is a charity golf tournament for the benefit of the Lycoming SPCA. Held at White Deer Golf Complex\, Putts Fore Paws consists of a 4-person scramble. There will be three divisions: Men\, Women and Mixed Foursomes. (The number of places paid depends on the number of participants). $75.00 per player covers all required fees and includes morning coffee\, goodies\, and a luncheon. Skill prizes will be awarded for “closest to the pin” and others (TBA). \nRegistration & Coffee: 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. \nShotgun Start: 9:30 a.m. \nRegister by May 15th \nSponsor a hole at the Tournament (pg 2) \nWe give a big thank you to Barb Michael for putting this event together for us. DESCRIPTION:Our popular annual run/walk is family AND pet-friendly. We have walking and running divisions for people only or people participating with their pets! \nThe unique 2.5-mile run/walk and 5-mile run benefit the Lycoming County SPCA and caters to runners\, walkers\, and pet/human teams alike. All participants utilize the same course\, which loops through the South Williamsport Community Park and Little League International’s baseball stadiums. Both the 2.5 and 5-mile run contain a short but steep climb up and around Little League International’s Headquarters and back down for an unforgettable view that makes the climb all worthwhile. And what would a dog-friendly event be without a division for dogs participating with their humans?
