Buck a Bag will begin at 12:00 p.m. Any sized bag welcome! There is always quite a selection of unique and useful items. We encourage you to come out and support your region’s only privately-funded\, full-service shelter! \nPlease note: the SPCA does not open for regular shelter business until 10:00 a.m.\, but the yard sale does begin at 8:00 a.m.

Hundreds of kittens needed care from the Lycoming County SPCA in 2018 and it takes a lot of effort\, both in supplies and people\, to help the little ones through their critical first few months. DESCRIPTION:Have fun at our annual\, unique 2.5-mile run/walk and 5-mile run to benefit the Lycoming County SPCA. Our course caters to runners\, walkers\, and pet/human teams who all participate together on the same course. The course loops through the South Williamsport Community Park and Little League International’s baseball stadiums. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. the day of\, with the race kicking off at 9:00 a.m. \nBoth the 2.5 and 5-mile run contain a short but steep climb up and around Little League International’s Headquarters and back down for an unforgettable view that makes the climb all worthwhile. The course offers water stations for humans and dogs and dog waste disposal receptacles along the course. \nOnline pre-registration will remain open until Wednesday\, April 10th\, 2019 at 12 noon. Pre-registration costs: $25/individual\, $40 per family of up to 3 family members. Register by March 30th\, 2019 to be guaranteed a technical race shirt for participating humans and a Paws Run bandana for participating dogs. \nOn-site Registration: $30/individual\, $45 per family of up to 3 family members. \nRegister Online

Giving Tuesday. \n#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.  In 2017\, over $300 million were raised for nonprofits just on #GivingTuesday.  This year\, we are asking you to consider a donation to the SPCA on #GivingTuesday.  We will be sharing stories of our animals and work at the shelter in the days leading up to #GivingTuesday.  A donation of just $70 can provide five cats food and shelter for a day.  Our hope is that you will partner with us on this National Day of Giving. \nTo continue to hear more about this campaign\, follow our Facebook page. \n

SUMMARY:Holiday Store at the Lycoming Mall
DESCRIPTION:The SPCA holiday store at the Lycoming Mall is now open! \nLocated near the carousel\, the store features wonderful Christmas presents for animals and animal-lovers alike. Adoptable pets from the SPCA will be on hand at times\, too. It is a great way to cross items off of your Christmas list and support the Lycoming County SPCA at the same time. \nThe store will be open during regular mall hours from Thursday\, November 23rd to Monday\, December 24th. The store is also open throughout the year for special monthly adoption weekends on the third weekend of every month. \nThank you to our community partners at the Lycoming Mall for allowing our SPCA to have a storefront through the holidays! \n

DESCRIPTION:What is National Adoption Weekend? \nFour times per year\, PetSmart Charities works with Animal Welfare Organizations across North America to host pet adoption events within PetSmart stores.  The Lycoming County SPCA is delighted to attend the weekends at our local PetSmart on the Golden Strip and showcase our lovable pets available for adoption. \nWhen you attend\, you’ll find dogs\, puppies\, cats\, kittens and small pets from a variety of organizations\, all in need of a lifelong\, loving home. In addition\, each pet is spayed and neutered prior to adoption\, giving you added peace of mind as you search for your new best friend. \nThank you to our amazing volunteers for helping us bring pets to this event!

With tasty desserts and a large silent auction\, this sell-out event is our largest fundraising event of the year. \nFeaturing: \n\nScrumptious Local Desserts\nSilent Auction\nCanine Red Carpet Stroll\nVideo Tribute to Adopted Friends\n\nThe highlight of the evening is the “Red Carpet Stroll.”  Recently adopted animals will walk the red carpet with their new forever people and share their adoption story with our celebrity emcees.  This event embodies the mission of our shelter and is a celebration of the animals\, volunteers\, supporters\, and staff. \nDoors open at 6:30 p.m.\, with the event kicking off at 7:00 p.m. The event is held at the historic Genetti Grand Ballroom. \nThere are two seating options: \n\nFloor level seating for $35.00/person\nBalcony seating for $40.00/person\n\nRSVPs are due October 30th.
