June 16 – Glacier National Park, Montana

Caroline and Thurston are on day 7 of their 30-day cross-country journey.  Today they decided to change course and see what they could find in Montana.

From Caroline: “Our original plans didn’t include Montana, but we decided to head 6 hours north to Glacier National Park. We took a dirt road halfway through the drive and found this gorgeous lake! Unfortunately, a mountain lion crossed our path while we were driving a few miles from the lake so Thurston wasn’t allowed much freedom.”

“We got to Glacier later that night and set up camp there. I was biking the next morning and ran into a mama bear with cubs, a moose with two calves, and a bunch of deer. The strict dog rules are starting to make way more sense and I’m glad Thurston wasn’t allowed to run with me for that ride!”

Caroline and Thurston reported that after Glacier they are “in route to Idaho now to find some hiking.”  We are excited to see what they will find along the way. Stay tuned!
